Herbal, Soft, Warm

Similar to the tea plant (Camellia sinensis), the rooibos plant (Aspalathus linearis) undergoes oxidation that darkens the leaves over time. So, like white tea, green rooibos is the young version of the plant that has not yet experienced any amount of oxidation. It's a hearty herbal that produces a soft amber hue with a warm, floral scent when brewed. This aroma complements its complex yet soft and palatable flavor. Green rooibos contains a slightly herbaceous finish and brews much lighter than red rooibos, which makes it perfect for those that find the latter too sweet or too bold. Our organic green rooibos is sourced from South Africa where the plant thrives and has been harvested for decades.

Tea Tips

Brew with a water temperature of 212°F (100°C) for 5-10 minutes.
Despite being the unoxidized version of the rooibos plant, the leaves are still hardy and resilient, so a longer steep time at a high temperature is best to extract its flavors.
