Considered a relatively high end gourmet black tea, Dian Black comes from the cloud-veiled mountains of the Yunnan province (Dian is another name for Yunnan). Traditional Yunnan black teas were typically exported in the form of compressed cakes, similar to modern Pu’er. Dian Black is a relatively new product, beginning production in the early 20th century.
The brassy golden orange liquor yields a sweet, gentle aroma, and deliciously complex flavors.
